Section 4 - Coloured Paper
The following pages show the colour trials on five different coloured papers, Pink white. orange. blue and buff. The image colours
were black, brown and blue There is another set of four images printed on the coloured papers in green but are cut down in size
and also a single print of black on white card.
They were printed to try the effect of one colour on different coloured papers. rather than to print in two colours as was
afterwards decided upon.
The proof image was taken from one strike on the stereotype plate and always show the traces of the two screws used to hold it down. These are
upper and lower left. There are also traces of printers rules on top two lines of print.
